East Carroll Township is a township in Cambria County, Pennsylvania, and is part of the Johnstown, Pennsylvania Metropolitan Statistical Area. The township is located in north-central Cambria County at 40.57° N by 78.70° W and is about 8 miles (13 km) north of Ebensburg, the county seat, and 18 miles (29 km) west-northwest of the city of Altoona. The township is bordered on the east by Chest Creek, a north-flowing tributary of the West Branch Susquehanna River. The borough of Carrolltown borders part of the township on the west, and Patton touches the northeast corner of the township. U.S. Route 219 crosses the township from north to south, connecting Carrolltown with Ebensburg.
Monthly meetings are the first Monday of each month at 7:00 p.m., hosted in the municipal building.
